- Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder & 1/4 teaspoon salt gently over the fish pieces and mix them well
- Heat mustard oil in a Kadahi and slowly put pieces of fish one by one.
- Fry all the pieces golden brown both the sides and take them out on a plate
- Put all the dry cerials, along with onion,garlic & ginger leaving salt & turmeric in a Grinder.
- Add 1½ cup water & make out a fine paste
- Now use the same left over oil of kadhai and put bay leaf,grinded masala and chopped tomato
- Add Salt & Turmeric powder & mix them well.
- Cook the masala by covering it with a lid till the masala is cooked well and it is emitting oil.
- Put 1½ glass water and stir it well. When it starts boiling, wait for 2 minutes.Then add fried fish and mix them well
- Cover it with a lid for 5 minutes. open the lid,toss the pieces to the other side and again cover it with the lid for 2 minutes.
